Our tree growing methods

You will find the finest selection of premium Christmas trees in the area at our farm. We have been growing Christmas trees for over 50 years and have selected varieties best suited for growing in our climate and for their lasting beauty in the home at Christmas time.

In addition, our experience has also allowed us to identify certain seed sources for each variety that exhibit the most desirable traits for a Christmas tree: fragrance, color, and needle retention. All of our trees are started in our nursery. They spend two years here before they are planted out in the fields. This allows us to select the desirable trees and eliminate the weaker trees, ensuring our fields have the best possible stand of trees. Each tree is individually hand sheared each summer for the eight to ten years it takes for a tree to reach the appropriate size to become a family's Christmas tree. All of our tree fields are managed in an environmentally sound and sustainable system.
