Harvest Kitchen FAQ

Does the Harvest Kitchen host parties and other events?

The Harvest Kitchen does not host private parties.  If you are looking for a farm/winery setting to host a private event, we recommend visiting The CT Wine and Vineyard Association website, www.ctwine.com.

The Harvest Kitchen occasionally hosts private cooking classes for small corporate groups (8-16 guests).  For more information, please visit Private Cooking Classes.

What should I wear to a cooking class?

Cooking classes are casual and hands-on.  During most classes you will be outside in the garden harvesting produce and working inside the kitchen to prepare a meal.  Comfortable clothing and flat, closed-toe shoes are required for safety.  Please no high heels or sandals.

What happens if I can't make it to a class I registered for?

If you cannot attend a class, we encourage you to find a friend to fill your place.  Refunds will be given for all class cancellations made 7-10 days prior to the event, less a $25 administrative fee.  Class switches will be allowed when possible and when made 7-10 days prior to the event, less a $25 administrative fee.

How do I register for a cooking class with a gift certificate?

To register for a cooking class and pay using a gift certificate, please send your contact information and the gift certificate number to harvestkitchen@jonesfamilyfarms.com.  You are not registered for the class until you receive electronic confirmation.

I have food allergies, does that matter?

The Harvest Kitchen cooks with a variety of ingredients and is NOT allergen-free.  We request that you inform us of all food allergies when registering for a class.  An effort will be made to accommodate all food allergies known about in advance of the class, given they are not severe allergies and do not greatly impact the menu.
