Strawberry Sangria

A good addition to the perfect summer night or you can adapt this recipe to enjoy Sangria year-round with fruits that are in season at that time!

Ingredients: 

2 bottles Jones Rosé of Cabernet Franc

1 lemon, thinly sliced

1 small cucumber, thinly sliced

2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved

2-3 tablespoons simple syrup (see directions below)

½ liter club soda or sparkling water

 

Directions: 

Pour wine, fruit and simple syrup into a pitcher or large dispenser.  Let sit for 1 hour in refrigeration.  Pour in wine glasses and top with sparkling water; or the sparkling water can be added to the batch before serving.

To make simple syrup: heat ¼ cup sugar with ¼ cup of water.  Wait until sugar dissolves.  Cool and refrigerate.  Makes about ½ cup and lasts up to 1 week.
