Seven Generations 2016

This fortified, 'port-style' wine is made from 100% Jones Family Farms vineyard fruit. The grapes are blended and fermented, then our own grape brandy is added to stop fermentation. The addition of the brandy is what makes this a fortified wine. Our Seven Generations is not aged as long as a typical port and is less sweet and lighter in body. The brandy preserves the wine, making an open bottle last out-of-sunlight for several weeks. This wine is made in the traditional Porto method and barrel aged for 2 years. Grape varietals used to craft this wine include Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Lemberger, Marquette, St. Croix, Chancellor, Corot Noir, and 100% white, natural Brandy - 100% from Jones Family Farms vineyards.
