The Jones family and all our staff have always been committed to your safety and well being during your visit to the Farm and Winery, never more so than now.
We have made several protocol and procedural changes to make your experience safe and enjoyable. For instance, we will be offering table service, so you do not have to wait in any lines. In our lovely outdoor courtyard, we have widely spaced our tables beyond the required 6 foot distances.
We are very grateful for your support, and we thank you for understanding and following the guidelines.
Respect Everyone: Face Masks and Social Distancing Required
You are required to wear facial coverings at all times during your visit except when seated at the table. Respect social distancing at all times. We will monitor this at all times.
By having reservations, we can lessen lines and waiting times by scheduling the flow of guests in advance. Since we now have 50% of our guest capacity as outlined by the State of Connecticut guidelines, a reservation will ensure that there is a table available for you when you visit. Our reservation system will include a $20 deposit that will be fully credited to your purchase of wines by the glass, food, and also wine bottles to take home. We hope this deposit will ensure guests honor their reservation because we never want to turn guest away if we have availability. We will open the reservations each week for the upcoming weekend; this way you will have a better sense of the weather and your plans. You can make your reservation deposit online.
Your reservation will be for 90 minutes. This is a perfect amount of time to enjoy a glass or two of wine and some local cheeses. This timing allows us the sufficient time to clean and sanitize the tables and chairs between guests. We encourage arriving 15 minutes early to make sure you are on time; please stay in your vehicle until 5 minutes before your reservation time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will try our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee a table.
Our staff will guide you to your reserved table in the outdoor courtyard. Once seated, you can place your order with the server and enjoy the view. Tables cannot be moved, nor is sitting on the grass areas permitted at this time. Please stay seated during your visit; the farm and adjacent vineyard are not open for walkers. If you see friends at another table, please give them a wave, but do not walk up to their table for conversations because it will compromise the social distancing of other guests and staff.
Groups must be 5 or less persons, according to current guidelines. We have enlarged our table arrangements to accommodate for groups of 3 to 5 people.
The Jones family has worked so hard to make sure all parts of the farm and winery are family friendly; however, at this time, we believe the Winery is not the most appropriate place for young children. We ask that children be over 10 years old because they will need to stay seated at the table with their family during their visit. We recommend they bring an activity from home that will occupy them at the table. Young children in strollers are allowed. We look forward to many things in the future, especially being able to safely welcome back children.
We will have hand sanitizer at the entrance; you are encouraged to bring your own as well. Hand washing is so important. Our staff will be frequently using our many staff hand washing sinks; our guest restrooms in our Harvest Kitchen are dedicated to guests who want to wash their hands before and after eating.
Wine and Food Menus
As always, we continue to provide all food and wine options. Please note, we do not allow outside food nor open bottles.
Weather and Cancellation Policy
Most seating is outdoors and therefore, certainly subjected to the weather. We have patio umbrellas and limited outdoor seating with some cover, but we cannot guarantee covered seating. If we close due to weather, we will credit or refund your deposit. If you wish to postpone your visit to another time; please email us the day before by 4 pm at email@example.com. We will fully credit your account for a future visit if we are properly notified in advance.
When in Doubt, Do Not Come Out
If you are experiencing any symptoms or have any questions about your health, postpone your visit. We will credit or refund your deposit if you are not well. We monitor our staff's health every day.
