Our hillsides are covered with a deep snow. We believe our strawberry plants are safely sleeping, protected under layers of straw mulch and snow. When Mother Nature turns the heat up a bit as we ease into spring, our farmers will certainly have to hit the ground running. We need the snow to melt before we can begin our blueberry pruning and much of the vineyard pruning. Before we know it, we will be planting thousands of baby Christmas tree seedlings throughout the farm fields.
As one of the first signs of spring is on its way, we open our winery tasting room in March. Like the first blossoms of crocuses, it is a joy to see our guests return to the farm, signaling another good year to come.
We greatly appreciate your support of local farms and farmers. Thank you for visiting Jones Family Farms - where memories are always in season!
