Hours of Operation
On a farm, weather and crop readiness play a big part in the ability to be open to the public for harvesting. Following are general listings of our seasons. For daily specific updates on days and hours of operation, call the Farmer Jones Crop Line at 203-929-8425.
Seasonal Hours of Operation
Starting the weekend before Thanksgiving, the farm is open from 9:00am – 5:30pm daily for Christmas tree season. If guests plan to harvest their own tree, they must arrive by 4pm. Call Crop Line for updates on hours depending on weather.
Jones Winery
The Jones WineryTasting Room is open during Christmas tree season seven days a week for wine sales, from 10am to 5:30pm and from 11am to 5:30pm on Sundays. Starting Monday, November 22nd through December 23rd, the Tasting Room will be offering full wine tastings ONLY ON WEEKDAY AFTERNOONS from 12 noon to 5pm. Due to our farm's Christmas tree farm season, there will NOT be full wine tastings on weekends and the day after Thanksgiving. A few wines will be available for complimenary tastings on these busy days. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we hope you visit the farm, sample a few wines, and harvest a beautiful Christmas tree.
Strawberries are ripe for harvest sometime in early June and usually last into the beginning of July. Guests can enter the fields Monday through Saturday from 8:00am – 5:30pm and Sundays from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Blueberries
Blueberries are ready for harvest in mid-July and usually last well into August. However, Mother Nature doesn't play by the rules always. Be sure to call the Crop Line for picking conditions. Guests can enter the fields Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am – 5:30pm. The fields are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Pumpkins/Squash/Gourds
Pumpkin season is located at Pumpkinseed Hill. The farm’s preview weekend is usually the last weekend in September and the season runs daily through Halloween. Guests can visit the farm from 10:00am – 5:30pm. (Call Crop Line for updates on hours depending on weather.)
