Hours of Operation

On a farm, weather and crop readiness play a big part in the ability to be open to the public for harvesting. Following are general listings of our seasons. For daily specific updates on days and hours of operation, call the Farmer Jones Crop Line at 203-929-8425.

Seasonal Hours of Operation

Jones Winery
The Jones Winery Tasting Room hours can be found at Plan Your Visit to the Winery.

Strawberries
Strawberries are ripe for harvest sometime in early June and usually last into the last week of June, sometimes the first week of July. During the season, we list the hours on the homepage, but please always call the Crop Report at 203-929-8425 before you come to verify the hours, picking conditions and picking location (we grow strawberries at both our Valley Farm and Pumpkinseed Hill Farm).

Blueberries
Blueberries are ready for harvest in early to mid-July and usually last until early-August. However, we adapt to what Mother Nature gives us each year! Be sure to call the Crop Line for picking conditions. During the season, we list the hours on the homepage, but please always call the Crop Report at 203-929-8425 before you come to verify the hours, picking conditions and picking location (we grow blueberries at both our Valley Farm and Pumpkinseed Hill Farm).

Pumpkins/Squash/Gourds
Pumpkin season is located at Pumpkinseed Hill at 120 Beardsley Road in Shelton. Once we open, typically in late September, the season runs daily through Halloween. During the season, we list the hours on the homepage, but please always call the Crop Report at 203-929-8425 before you come to verify the hours in case of changes due to weather.

Christmas Trees
Starting the weekend before Thanksgiving, the farm is open daily until Christmas Eve at our Homestead location (606 Walnut Tree Hill Road). (Closed Thanksgiving Day) To harvest your own tree, you must arrive by 4pm. Check the homepage and call the Crop Report at 203-929-8425 for updates on hours.
