Delicious and Bountiful

Jones Family Farms has been welcoming guests to harvest blueberries at the farm for over 40 years. Packed with nutrition, health benefits and sweet summer taste, the blueberry is an ideal snack for the dog days of summer. Our blueberries grow extremely well in both our Valley Farm and our Pumpkinseed Hill Farm.

Blueberry Harvesting Tips

Before you head out to the farm, we like to remind our visitors that harvesting blueberries can be a physically demanding activity. Please come suitably attired, with appropriate footgear. Please do not wear sneakers, boots, closed-toe, or heels shoes.

Caring for Your Blueberries

Blueberries that are kept dry and in the refrigerator can usually be kept for approximately two weeks. Do not wash the berries until you are ready to use them. This will keep the protective ‘bloom’ on the berries.

Blueberry Baskets and Boxes

Choose from a Jones box or basket. If a basket is too big for your youngster, a Kid's Pint may just do the trick.

Blueberry Recipes

Blueberries complement jams, fruit salads, wine cocktails, and even pancakes.
