Philip Jamison ("Jamie) Jones, a sixth generation farmer at Jones Family Farms, planted the original vineyard in 1999 at Pumpkinseed Hill, and in 2004, he sold his first bottles of Jones Wines. Over the years, Jamie has expanded the vineyard and renovated the historical dairy barn for the tasting room. Jamie is proud of our winery's winemakers and how they share the farm's commitment to sustainable farming and belief that great wines comes from great vineyards.
Larry McCulloch joined the Jones Winery as the head winemaker in 2008. A graduate of The Ohio State University horticulture program, his background includes working at Benmarl Vineyards in New York and Chamard Vineyards in Connecticut. Larry brings over 30 years of experience, both in the vineyard and in winemaking.
Joseph Patrick joined the Jones Winemaking team fulltime in 2020, after receiving a degree in Viticulture and Enology. Joe got his start at the Jones farm in high school, and was inspired to pursue his studies in vineyards and winemaking. While a fulltime student in the Finger Lakes Community Colleges’ Viticulture and Enology program, he worked at the esteemed Red Newt Cellars as well as Glacier Ridge Vineyards, located on Seneca Lake. Since returning to Jones, Joe’s divergent experience and knowledge bring state of the art perspectives at Jones Wines.
